Have You lost any start Menu Icon : :

Then here is the solution : :

I will explain it with a small example then you can understand it in a full range :

Example 1 : : LOST SOLITAIRE GAME ICON from the START MENU : :

Step I : First make sure that you have lost only shortcut but not main file
this can be verified by means of following procedure , Lets find
out if the file still exists -

Go to Start > Run and type in sol.exe > OK
If solitaire opens then fine, you have just lost the short cut we can fix that.

Go C:> Documents And Settings > All users > Start Menu > Programs
> Games ok

OR

Go to Start > Run and type in (or copy and paste it) \Documents and
Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Games > OK

There You can Find all other games shortcuts except the solitaire , then the
thing to do is : :

C:> WINDOWS > SYSTEM32 > SOL .....Then Copy that and paste in
Above Games folder by means of a shortcut

OR

In that Games window, right click in it, select New > Shortcut > In create
shortcut Blank copy and paste this into the box %SystemRoot%\system32
\sol.exe finish...


Then Your SOLITAIRE shortcut is ready to use : :

Step II : If The SOL file is deleted then this is The way : :

If sol.exe cant be found than we can reinstall Solitaire simply by going to
Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Add/Remove Windows
Components > highlight Accessories and Utilities and click on the Details
button > highlight Games and click on the Details button > tick Solitaire and
click OK

Example 2 : : LOST MS WORD ICON : :

Open Program Files > Microsoft Office > Office 10 Or 12 > Winword
Pin that win word file to start menuand thats the icon for the MS word

Similarly If You lost any Shortcut from desktop icon from Your Start menu....Then Move To your parent drive and their program files and Get it from there....

If You are Unable to find any Shortcut from Your Home drive then Post the Problem to me So that I can rectify it ...
